History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and money/treasure

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. A true patriot, Sybil would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. In her youth she was a Fisher, and wanted to be a champion fighter when she grew up. She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger brother on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. She was granted psionic powers by her dying brother.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Interpreter born in the past three hundred years. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
