History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now mingles about in high society.

She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Guard. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
