History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Alain was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents enrolled her in a Monk school at a young age so that she could practice her martial talents. She was granted martial powers by her dying sister.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Ronobe was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Ronobe's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
