History: Born to a Knight, his father struggled to pay the bills. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Stableman work with an outfit from a few towns over. Stableman work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He's also a talented Knight, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Erky never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
