History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Dagnal lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: She was born in the south. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Fistula was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Fistula fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Valanthe grew up listening to her father's many stories. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Egelina was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.
