Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Nicholas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter.
