History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A freak accident while working with his Carter father left him crippled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

His father taught him the rudiments of the Fortune-teller arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
