Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. Spear is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Navigator they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Ruler, and he later adopted a second son.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.

History: She is a Maurezhi in disguise. Irann abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and she wants to meet her childhood hero

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. She loves being with her children and actually smiles when they are around. She would do anything for them. She dislikes her ex a great deal.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Salanop was born on a far western desert where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Mason. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
