Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. She is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories she has discovered

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She took after her mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her mother taught her to defend herself. When her mother died while fighting illithids, the young Valanthe began to lead the lost caravan. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

She will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. She cares deeply for her spouse and does her best to make sure her guests look presentable.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 7 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Abalaba never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

To get what you want from life, you must take it. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: He was born into a rich family. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. After a long history of fighting, Howard and his spouse have recently divorced.
