Through the years after Vistra was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Vistra's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
