However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and retire the richest man in the south

History: Gifted from a young age, Thorin studied abroad. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Thorin fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: She is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks her mind. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Thodris is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. When Thodris reached her early adolescence her Dwarf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
