He likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. He has done his best to style his golden hair to look like a famous performer. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his green eyes.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Umpen's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Gnomish conditions. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. A true patriot, Hubert would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Hubert was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: With green face paint in a stripe pattern across her face, she wears a violet vest and prefers blue and green shirts. Her boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. She has moderate length black hair. Her eyes are likewise blue. Her teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: She is quiet and unassuming. She ignores others and carries on with her job unassumingly. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of goblins once and for all.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by goblins. Hadwisa was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the goblins.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and she desires to right it; and many goblins want her driven away

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He tends to his Armorer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away; and a deep hatred of illithids

She prefers to carry a lance, but if one is not available she will default to her axe. Her silver hair is well kept. She has several tiny topaz earrings on each ear.

Personality: She can speak with the recently deceased. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She comes from a rich northern family. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and retire the richest woman in the north
