History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the south. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Half-Orcs in Gruk's homeland. Gruk decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Gruk fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Pandjed grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Halfling companion (his 'brother'). He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he's looking for his big break

History: Sun was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Bricklayer for hire.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her mother. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Tabaxis in Cloud's homeland. Cloud decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
