Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. The war was a terrible time for him, and Grûblik does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: She runs her personal life as if detached from it. She organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits she will get from it. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for her.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Brewer. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: A middle-aged man, he tends to wear a large white jacket, and is pretty ugly. He has a very tight haircut. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Bricklayer business.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A gifted student he started as a Barrister, but he got bored and became a Bricklayer. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Bather. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
