His hair is long and blonde with streaks of chestnut, and is pulled back with small grey clips. His beard is chestnut, braided, and well cared for. His fierce gray eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of goblins once and for all.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Rurik grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the north. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Paymon alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Halfling people; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

Personality: Friendly and accommodating she would invite many more into her home than her spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the west were limited. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
