Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Sage business.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Through the years after Gardain was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Gardain's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was granted psionic powers by his dying sister.

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: A powerful necromancer made her what she is. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the north were limited. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and someone believes her a fraud

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. His black hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. His eyes are likewise gray. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Wobbles liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. Being a Scribe kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Her psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of her oldest sister, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Gnomes became a terror of the countryside. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of freemasons.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Halflings.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. After a long history of fighting, Thorpe and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Half-Elven compassion.
