History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats.

Description: He wears a blue coat over a tan low-cut shirt, and a top hat upon his head, and he perpetually has his rapier ready. His hair, while still mostly auburn, has prominent grey streaks. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. While he appears to be a normal Gnome, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ribbles fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Personality: She likes to brag about her accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: She got into the Bellfounder business at a young age. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Bellfounder. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Regain custody of her son.

Description: This woman stands a little under 4'9" and is a bit bulky. She is very muscular particularly in the legs. She is wearing a long, tan, dusty cloak. Her blonde hair is long and unkept. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. Jarsali enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She was born in a small forest village. Her parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when she was still a young child. The dire rats captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it
