History: Mardnab hails from a village terrorized by illithids. At some point she was captured by illithids and was tortured. After several years of this she finally managed to escape. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and she is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A gifted student she started as a Stableman, but she got bored and became a Butcher. She tends to her Butcher job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.
