His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She has a habit of throwing herself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Jo and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He is mildly Dwarf supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Dwarves.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gifted student he started as a Engraver, but he got bored and became a Guard. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Guard for hire.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
