History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Cumpen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 14th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: Jocelyn speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he has money and likes to spend it
