History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to share knowledge with the world

Personality: She is business-like. She takes instructions and follows them to the letter. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Spear was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.
