History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Gilbert will drive conversation. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gilbert grew up listening to his father's many stories. He found a children's book about a Half-Elf Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

His father taught him the rudiments of the Miner arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
