History: Melech hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and to find somewhere to settle down

He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
