Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Tree's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Born in the east her family was never financially stable. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Miner. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Miner responsibilities is difficult.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Through the years after Meriele was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Meriele's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She is a hateful person. She taunts others and blames them for her problems. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Mardnab was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Mardnab's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for her.
