History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Mason work with an outfit from a few towns over. Mason work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has never given up on her painting dream.

Description: This man is tall and muscular. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright brown and black, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. He has a small bristly mustache and wavy silver hair. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing poetry.

History: Rurik was born the youngest of three triplets. Rurik was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Rurik decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Body Guard and was forced into it by his family.

He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Description: An older woman who dresses in brown turtlenecks beneath a red coat with tan slacks, she is not a threatening figure. Her hair is greying and her face has many wrinkles. Her eyes are likewise brown. Her teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. As she has aged she has sought to do reparations for her actions as a youth. She is also making sure that her compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Being a Glassblower kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: She is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and a rival would like her out of the picture
