Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Kilia is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She worked as a nervous Bellfounder and found it very stressful. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: Srorthen lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was taken from his home at a very young age. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and to reunite with his absent mother

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. She uses divination through singing.

History: Her druidic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the north. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and sabotage a competitor
