History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Brewer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. In her journeys she found a malevolent artifact. She wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Description: This western man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears a fine chain shirt which he covers with black colored cloaks and clothing. His silver hair is knotted and matted. He is baby faced.

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. Balam enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Balam was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
