History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Like her mother and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Bather. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Bather.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Layabout but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

His hazel eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 5. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Halimath alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Description: This exceptionally lanky woman is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. Her silver hair is greasy and uncared for. She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines gray.

Personality: She never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Myev grew up listening to her mother's many stories. In her 13th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Shepherd. He became a Shepherd soon after.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and regain custody of his son
