Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: Born to a Glassblower, his father struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Sailor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Varis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
