History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. Kadana was born on a far western mountains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Guard. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Spring was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.

History: He comes from a rich western family. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against giants; and he has money and likes to spend it

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform She has worked as a Tailor like her mother before her.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
