Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.

History: The child of a Fortune-teller, who enjoyed hunting, Merla was taken on many hunting expeditions. Her childhood dream was to be a Fortune-teller, but she was a colossal failure. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 14 years.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Jane was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. She is an amazing painter.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the east. When Ielenia reached her early adolescence her Elf mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.
