Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She invented a lineage for herself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Grigi grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Grigi. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Roland embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He got into the Carter business at a young age. He worked as a nervous Carter and found it very stressful. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: Born in the east to a Interpreter, Katherine learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Butcher arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Bowyer but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and money/treasure
