History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and balancing his hectic life and new spice merchant responsibilities is difficult
