Description: A man with a friendly, welcoming air about him, he has the majority of his body covered in plate. His black hair is smooth and relatively long. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep gold.
Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Mantus was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Mantus fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Marbas Aid, Male Tiefling [Permalink]

Description: He is an average looking eastern male in his early mid-life. He is dressed in earthy colors with a black and white handkerchief worn on his right side. He wears a colorful flower in his white hair. His white unseeing eyes seem to look past you.
Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Tieflings.
History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Marbas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Tieflings became a terror of the countryside. During his travels, Marbas and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Marbas discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Marbas fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
Motivation: Dwarven compassion; and a strong sense of loyalty to dwarven people

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. Her cinnamon fur is unkempt and raggedy. Her copper eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.
Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.
History: Born to a Shoemaker, her father struggled to pay the bills. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.
Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and wants to raise her children well

Personality: This woman loves music and to teach people music more than just about anything. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Kithri was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

Description: She wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge. Her hair is white and curly. Her blue eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.
Personality: Vicky speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.
History: Vicky hails from a village terrorized by giants. In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Vicky alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has achieved small success as a Guard.
Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and she's in love
