Personality: Halander wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Expert, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is obsessed with his god.

History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He was granted martial powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Courier hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Garl never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
