Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Halander's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Halander hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. His parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when he was still a young child. The gnolls captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

History: He was born into a rich family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Description: This tall, slender woman is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times. She wears a deerstalker hat to hide her balding. Her blue eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. She has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She found a children's book about a Half-Elf Monk who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break; and she wants to meet her childhood hero

Personality: She likes to be helpful to her clients. She likes to prescribe proper advice to her clients. She is kind towards other women and children and will generally offer women help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to her.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Mardred was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Mardred decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She now owns her own business.
