It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She was born in a small island village. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Tabaxis became a terror of the countryside. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Igden is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs

History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered north to less war torn lands. She was granted martial powers by her dying sister.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and she is terrified, and will act out of fear
