History: He was born into a rich family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions.

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she wears a large hat to cast shadows over her face and wears ponchos to better hide her body. She has wavy chestnut hair. She has a tattooed face.

Personality: She misses her glory days as an athlete. She does not mind her job, but it is boring in comparison. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Aym alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and a deep hatred of giants
