When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Armorer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Bernard and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A freak accident while working with his Engraver father left him crippled. Being a Barber kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He now owns his own business.
