She wears a Stetson hat to hide her balding. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Jarana grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Jarana. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He got into the Beggar business at a young age. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Beggar hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He's also a talented Sellsword, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end; and wants a kiss

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with top hat, and is pretty ugly. His golden hair is braided into rings. His eyes are gray.

Personality: He has always had a great fascination with Gnomish culture. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his music with anyone who is interested.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Gnomish activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Gnomish doctor. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Crown-heir and was forced into it by his family; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
