History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. She found a children's book about a Human Ranger who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Born to a Layabout, his father struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bather hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Emerald is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Emerald was born with his mother's beautiful face. At some point he was captured by brigands and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
