Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and doesn't want to be a locksmith and was forced into it by his family

History: He got into the Carter business at a young age. At a young age his mother died while driving off some brigands. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in morningstar use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Carter responsibilities is difficult; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Being a Assassin kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
