History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Vistra was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Oren lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her childhood dream was to be a Knight, but she was a colossal failure. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
