History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Shivering grew up listening to his mother's many stories. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.

Personality: She likes to make people angry or surprised. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She worked as a nervous Cook and found it very stressful. She's also a talented Bookbinder, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: She wants revenge against illithids; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it
