It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: Hobart speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: He was born into a rich family. Through the years after Hobart was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Hobart's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.
