Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Cressel alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and wants to work out more often
