History: Beatrice hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Beatrice alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Theren was born with his mother's beautiful face. Theren was born on a far northern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Animal Trainer. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
