History: Ghaliver was born with his father's beautiful face. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Map Maker for the past few years.

History: Nimble was born with his mother's beautiful face. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Fortune-teller hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
