History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Through the years after Arannis was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Arannis's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has never given up on his writing dream.
