History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Akta was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Courier for hire.

History: Born in the south to a Sage, Therai learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His childhood dream was to be a Ploughman, but he was a colossal failure. He struck the Sage job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: He wants revenge against brigands; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it

Description: With black face paint in a stripe pattern across her face, she is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. She is bald on top and has large silver tufts of hair around her ears. She has a dull look in her gray eyes.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: Ella was born the youngest of three triplets. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Butcher hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Butcher and was forced into it by her family; and marry her sister to traveling adventurers
